This beautiful silk tallis represents the four Matriarchs of Israel: Rachel, Leah, Sarah, and Rebecca. It is hand painted on medium weight crepe de chine silk. The Matriarchs beautiful women's silk tallit is in shades of lavender with pink and gold highlights. The handmade silk tallit comes with a matching kippah, tallit clip, and matching bag.
This silk tallis was created through the French art of silk painting. Each tallis begins as white silk yardage. The silk is stretched as a painter's canvas and the design is applied with gutta. The imported French dyes are applied using watercolor techniques and brushes. The dyes are then set and the tallis is finished into a unique piece of wearable art. The variations and nuances of shading and color that give this tallis it's unique personality are not considered imperfections.
